I need to buy a thank you gift for my DD's tutor - who owns a horse and looks after others horses too. Are there any nice things that woudl make a horse owner smile? ( apart from a new trailer and feed for a year!)

I am thinking about £15 ish
Thanks

Will watch this with interest - Sister is a horsey one and can't for the life of me know what to buy. Last year I bought her these acessories in a pink open bag

Finbar · 06/11/2008 16:33

Thanks Twims
Hope we get some inspiration!

My first thought was some nice HAnd cream - but it just seems a bit obvious

What about a thermos - so she can take a cup of tea around the yard with her or when she goes on a hack?

georgiemum · 06/11/2008 16:49

Thermal silk sock or glove liners
High-vis bands or lights
Maglight or swiss army knife

Twims · 06/11/2008 16:53

these look cool might check them out on ebay though

Swedes · 06/11/2008 16:57

A head scarf?

But seriously, how about a leg torch for hacking in the dark?

georgiemum · 06/11/2008 16:59

Def a leg torch. See if you can get a wind-up one.

Twims · 06/11/2008 17:01

Googled leg torch - where would you buy them from?

georgiemum · 06/11/2008 17:04

cgi.ebay.co.uk/GLOW-IN-THE-DARK-LED-TORCH-FOR-RIDING-SAFETY_W0QQitemZ120326485356QQcmdZViewIt em?hash=item120326485356&trksid=p3286.c0.m14&trkparms=72%3A1298%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240% 3A1318

this one attaches to the saddle

I like the idea of teh thermal silk sock or glove liners - are they made by a horse company ( rofl at horse spinning yarn! - sorry) or would you just buy them in good shops?

why not have a picture of her horse transferred onto canvas.

ITS UNIQUE

AND i know the company that ive used recently is offering a 20% discount, all u need to do is email the image to [email protected]
or u can do it online via the website www.canvasbazaar.com

i think a 10x8 canvas would come to about £15

Finbar - When I used to work on a show yard I really appreciated steel toe capped COMFORTABLE boots!!

Also can you get anything personalised? - Numnah, headcollar etc with the horses name so it doesn't get mixed up with the other horses stuff?
