Sheep Christmas Decoration..

My 5 years old DS has got to make a sheep Christmas decoration for a competition at school.

Has anyone any ideas what I can do other than stick cotton wool on a picture of a sheep ?

He has to do most of it himself and it needs to be able to be hung up by string.

Salt dough? You could use a sheep cutter then paint it and varnish.

Er.... cotton wool and cardboard?

Oh, and all the other sheep will have been made by the chilren's parents, BTW!

toilet roll covered in either cotton wool or knitted wool

Pom poms, pipe cleaners and stick-on googly eyes.

If you're feeling competitive he could make a pom pom sheep but it might be a bit much for a five year olds concentration span. Although, I've found boys are usually more patient with the endless looping of wool than the girls are.

Make two with white wool then stick or tie them together, a bit of fabric round the neck for a scarf, some googly eyes and tied to an extra bit of white wool to hang it with.
