Was given one for christmas last year - have used it about 3 times, neither my DH or I switch it on it just gathers dust on the shelf.

Bucharest we are also looking at getting one of these, Jumping which one have you got, is it easy to us etc? There are so many to choose from and i've heard that some are a bit crap!

We have a Phillips one and the first couple stopped working but our third replacement has been fine now for over a year. I think they are great, a really good way to see all your photos that otherwise just sit on your computer. We also bought in laws one last Christmas and they always have it on too, they always get DH to update it with new photos so all they have to do is turn it on and off so no need to cope with the technical details

Yes for doting gramps

No for yourself - they are Not Stylish

I don't like or use ours, got it free with a camera. It looks horrible, prefer real pictures in nice frames.

BiancaCastafiore · 05/11/2008 13:33

We were given one last Christmas and for a few months it's been sitting on a table never switched on, but just recently we've been using it loads.
The kids love watching the pictures change

I am thinking about getting one for PiL for Christmas, ready loaded up with photos of grandchildren.

I have one and used it a lot but since I've moved I haven't found a suitable home for it. When I do find it a home I'm sure it'll be back on again!!

My step-dad was given one by his son but not sure they use it very often.

Mine takes a USB or a couple of memory cards. I've only used the usb though because my cards weren't the right ones. You just save your photos from your computer to a memory stick and plug it into the frame.

I notice that Nectar have one for 6500 points. I am tempted.

spookyrookie · 05/11/2008 21:07

My parents bought us one. DS age 2.6 loves it and enjoys seeing all his favourite people appear on the screen. We don't have it on all the time.

Bought it as a present for my parents as they seemed to like it so much, they seem to really enjoy theirs, particularly as Dad is a bit of a photo enthusiast.

BabyTalk13 · 06/11/2008 11:30

Weve got an 'AGFA' one (was a present) which isnt bad looking and you get 3 different fronts to put on it so it fit in with the room. To be honest we dont put it on that much unless people come over, but its nice to have for those times.
Id say yes for gramps...makes lovely present if already set up.
Not really worth it for yourself. Hope that helps
