Help me think of 24 Christmassy things to do ...

As a result of various gifts, our two girls now have three refillable cloth advent calendars between them. And I'd quite like to use them all, but don't want to fill them all with tat/chocolate/money!

So I'm thinking that one of them will have 24 little cards in the pockets, with a "thing to do today" written on them. Some of them will be useful (like "remind Mummy that today is the last day for posting cards ") Some of them will be just for fun (e.g. "snuggle up in a duvet and watch The Snowman") and some of them might be a bit serious.

Any ideas? Will this work or is it too cheesy?!

Lol Ilynnnn I just clicked on this thinking "that's funny, I started a thread like this years ago. I wonder what they're talking about.

And it's my thread! Thank you for bringing back memories and I'm glad you've been watching it all this time!

We did do the 24 things and it was a lovely year. Might be time for a repeat.

Does anyone else here use vistaprint.co.uk?

I've used them in the past and they are always bombarding my inbox with offers of free business cards, So today, I ordered some in a Christmassy design and put space for...

I've picked some good xmas films up recently in morrisons recently for £2-3 each. Some were £5 but on 'buy one get one free'.

sunnyday123 · 27/11/2011 08:22

Bumperliciious · 27/11/2011 08:24

Ooh, I'm doing this too.

DillyTante · 27/11/2011 08:47

Apologies for the gratuitous plugging of my blog, but for anyone who wanted to do something similar but haven't got the time or skills to make a fabric one, I have linked to a few good ideas here. My favourite is the jar, but I'm going to make the origami one. I've made the pockets already, it didn't take long at all. I'm going to Hobbycraft today to pick up some card to stick them on. I just need 24 activities and definitely going to use some of these ideas.

You could make one of these today using any paper and card you have lying around.

DillyTante · 29/11/2011 22:07

I need more ideas by tomorrow! Tips for young children?

DedalusDigglesPocketWatch · 01/12/2011 13:36

fuzzpig · 14/11/2012 14:10
