UpJacobscreek · 01/11/2008 14:52

Lego and dr who stuff she is not a girly girl .

ilovetochat · 01/11/2008 14:53

niece wants hannah montana pjs

DoNotAttempttoblowupparliament · 01/11/2008 14:54

HSM by any chance? I say keep it BTW...

UpJacobscreek · 01/11/2008 14:54

No the 9 year old is into HSM .

avaTsar · 01/11/2008 14:59

I'm thinking maybe a cd/radio player. They had some in Asda the other day for around £24 iirc but Argos probably do similar. Come to think of it don't Woolies do pink things like that?

Also dd had one of these the other day for her birthday which she likes.

iheartdusty · 01/11/2008 15:07

Father Christmas might like to know that the Lil Luvables teddy stuffing machine is half price at the Entertainer:

here

along with many other bargains such as pixel chix shite and betty spaghetti

Hulababy · 01/11/2008 15:42

How about?
MP3 player
Hannah Montana or HSM goodies

DoNotAttempttoblowupparliament · 01/11/2008 16:48

Father Christmas will remember buying the teddy bear thing half price last year

Pixel chix has been and done....betty spaghetti a possibility...

Not really into Music so MP3 probably not great idea, a couple of HSM will be fine but not really into it. I was looking at the HSM secret diary thing which is like password jouranl which is on their list but gets CRAP reviews. The HSM one looks slightly better and it has £5 off in woolies ATM and it is in 3 for 2 at woolies ATM...

Now you can see why he is struggling

DD's not a very girly girl either so we're getting her a guitar and a handful of TY Beanie Babies from Home Bargains (£15 for the former, 99p each for the latter). I generally check out Home Bargains for pressie ideas as they have some nice, branded bits and bobs.

Last year when dd was nearly 7 we bought her a little cd player/radio for a tenner from Asda and she thought it was the best thing ever. I think it was because she saw it as being a big girl's present, so it wasn't on her list at all.

She uses it now for her audio books and her cds, now she's finally showing an interest in music.

Other than this, she's got a ds lite on the list! We'll have to see if we can stretch to that..

Earlybird · 02/11/2008 15:48

Considering a ds lite and some accompanying games this year for dd. But after Christmas holidays, there will be guidelines about when/how often it is played with so she doesn't turn into a zombie.

Also thinking of a bicycle, as her current one is far too small.

mumwhereareyou · 02/11/2008 19:16

Mine is getting a barbie typewriter, new scooter which was a bargain of £5.71 from amazon.
HSM pjs and hairclips, some CDs for her cd player.
Also a fleece blanket for her bed either HSM or Disney, have them on offer in Homebargains. Some cheap lipstick and smelly deodrant as she likes to spray it like perfume.

She would like Bratz (SIL buying her one), Camp Rock, or HSM stuff.

Typewriter is main prezzie and she will be so excited as i got idea of here and then took her window shopping in Toys R us she saw it and said i would love of those (she likes to write plays and letters etc). It is hard to know what to get her, she also wants the Sam and Sally dolls. We will see about one of those.

DoNotAttempttoblowupparliament · 02/11/2008 21:29

I am just soooo stuck. I went shopping today and came back with 2 HSM password journals and a magic set. The former were on there lists. I was hoping to come back with a boot full (well not literally!). I was just uninspired. I couldn't even find much for my 2.6yo who I thought would be easy. Everything i saw was either expensive for what it was (Dora; Peppa Pig; INTG...) and I wonder how much it will date; or I have hand me downs in the loft. I was so depressed about how hard I am finding this I had to buy cheescake

They have Nintendo DS, so we will get them a game each. They got a decent CD mini player for their birthday....

alibobins · 02/11/2008 21:50

Buying DD whos just turned 8 a V-Tech Touch Tablet laptop and a karaoke machine.

squilly · 02/11/2008 21:51

Have you checked out Ebay? I love it around Christmas time. Loads of Camp Rock/HSM stuff, quite cheap or, not so cheap, but rare in the UK, so unusual instead.

I'm getting dd some Club Penguin bits, only available from US or Ebay.

I'll keep checking back here for inspiration though. Christmas threads here are always good.

Chamomile · 04/11/2008 22:09

I bought these for my nieces.
paper fashions
They got good reviews on Amazon.

linzs · 05/11/2008 10:54

My DD (8) also has her eye on the sam and sally dolls or the similar ones in argos - roxy, robbie and rosie?

We have bought her a trampoline with enclosure (Good deal in Makro this week) - though I have just noticed that there is a lovely HSM one in argos - lower to the ground, but without enclosure - that I saw online yesterday for £40.00 but today is down at £22.00.

Have been really stuck this year as her 2 older brothers have already told us what they would like - Nintendo Ds and Money for a laptop, and we were really stuck with ideas for DD.(Doesn't help that it was her b'day last weeek too!!)

Brothers have bought her DS game (Imagine Baby - 2 for £30 at Game) and Hannah Montana MP3 Pillow - 3 for 2 in M&S.

All I have to do now is think of ideas for the family to buy her!!
