How do I sit on my hands and keep it a secret until xmas? It's driving me nuts already!

what is it?

Hulababy · 31/10/2008 09:58

How old is she?
What is it?

My DD knows her main present as she is getting a digital piano (we don't normally buy anything so big, it is very much a one off) and was there when it was bought. What she doesn't know is I got her a Take That ticket this morning, to go with me and my sister - that is a secret till Christmas. She is 6.

Oh god I'm embarrassed, a furreal animal. She was/is/has been desperate for one since last christmas, but I said no

Ah, she will love it! I love the look of excitement on their face when you get to suprise them. Keep that in mind and it will hlp you keep the secret.

It's not one of the huge ones btw, it's one of the little ones, but I think they are rubbish (didn't tell dd this) so wouldn't buy one. Her main present is riding lessons, which start on sun, so are hardly a surprise. Oooh, take that ticket trumps me!

He he he, am so excited. If I put it in the loft I may forget about it until nearer xmas. Ooh this is so good, it's the first xmas I have known what she wanted (and boy does she want things-toy stores and adverts are now banned in our house!).

I have got DD's pressie too, a second hand ipod (although she obv won't know it is secondhand she is only 6) - I just know how much she wants one and she is going to be sooooooooooooooo excited.

MadreInglese · 31/10/2008 14:24

It's not the £2999999999 pony is it?

iheartdusty · 31/10/2008 20:10

I feel the same way - have arranged gerbils for DD's birthday, fortunately only 3 weeks away or else I would burst with excitement myself. Every time I picture her face when she first sees them my eyes fill with tears! Must try to get a grip

Pawslikepaddington · 01/11/2008 12:17

No, it is not the £3 million horse! Although someone was buying that when I bought dd's
