Hi! Does anyone have this book and know where I can find the cake stand on page 47? I've trawled the lists of stockists she had in the book, but no luck. It's gorgeous and will look great for the kids Christmas party!

Tell me what it looks like - I'm a cake stand addict and may be able to recommend somthing similar...

Is is a plate style with a pillar, a one, two or three tier plate, a cupcake stand?....

queenrollo · 23/10/2008 14:03

GLM....it's a three tier(three individual plates, gradually getting smaller) with red, green and pink stripes on it a bit like an old-fashioned lollipop, and has a scalloped edge with small circles with the same sort of design and little specks like hundreds and thousands.

I had a look and i couldn't find anything similar either, but then i'm not a cake stand addict.

nigella.com is under maintenance at the moment but i suppose sending an email might gain a response.

this websit has some - although they are not painted like hers... I had a look at the pic as i was at a bookshop this afternoon. I think she or stylist might have painted them...

Send an email - i sent one today about the gold reindeer in the book and got a response within 10 minutes - seriously impressive!

Oh and the gold reindeer which she uses for salt and paremsan is from laura ashley if you're interested

It's not a Gisela Graham one by any chance is it? Sounds similar to her designs although I haven't got the book to look at the picture.

Oooh, I'm sooo excited! I emailed Nigella.com and got a response! It's from Selfridges, from the Department 56 Range. Off to London for half term so will obviously be 'popping in!' You must get her book - it's so gorgeous and will be on my coffee table for months! Her cranberry and choc chip cookies are scrummy!

The Book People are doing it for £10

Typical! I thought mine was cheap at £15 from Tesco!
