A bit stuck with dd1. She is getting a new nintendo ds for her birthday (the week before xmas ).

She has asked for a password journal thing she has seen on tv

and a pony but unfortuantely she is NOT getting a pony

lol dd would love a pony too

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:15

she has asked me to think of something for her

she is sporty and she loves ponies

What about some games to go with the ds. Or something to do with the hideousness that is High School Musical.

dustystar · 20/10/2008 13:15

A horse riding lesson or some sort of day at the stables.

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:16

she isnt really into hsm tbh

she isnt into any tv character or music or anything

brokenrecord · 20/10/2008 13:16

mine wants rollerblades.

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:16

she has lessons every week atm

OP posts:
Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:17

there is nowhere to rollerblade here - rutted country lanes all around

OP posts:
Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:17

she would like something outdoorsy, to do with nature or animals possibly

argh she has always been difficult

dd2 (6) is happy with any pile of tat

dustystar · 20/10/2008 13:18

Some thing to do with riding then - a new hat or boots.

KateF · 20/10/2008 13:19

Mine is having a bike as her old one was a second hand one and is disintegrating! She has also asked for Imagine Teacher for her DS and art stuff. The password journal thing is a pain in the rear to set up-dd2 had one and it was sooooo much hassle!

brokenrecord · 20/10/2008 13:19

Barbie horse...? I have one in the cupboard that I didn't get round to taking back to JL after last Christmas . It whinnies and sort of rears when you pull its back legs

MamaG · 20/10/2008 13:20

Could you bear to get her a hamster? I got DD one for her 9th birthday in August and she's still thrilled with it. Tick against the animal point.

Outdoorsy - hmm would she like a fishing rod/set thingy?

DD has a nintendo game called "my horse and me" which she really likes (yes not outdoorsy but she'd still like it!)

brokenrecord · 20/10/2008 13:20

binoculars, camera, book on animals.

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:21

no thanks brokenrecord

she has never played with toys to my knowledge

she likes her nintendo, drawing, making stuff, tearing round on old pony or on the hockey pitch, is not really musical or into music

OP posts:
KateF · 20/10/2008 13:22

How about subscription to a pony magazine/tickets to a three day event or somesuch?

brokenrecord · 20/10/2008 13:22

How to draw horses book - I got one last year off amazon and it has seen good use.

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:22

no I cannot bear hamster although you are right of course she would love it

she has binoculars although they ARE shite so that might be a good one

she has a camera and NEVER ever uses it as she is terrified of breaking it, it sits neatly in its case in its box and never comes out

OP posts:
Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:23

so the password journal is shit? what a bummer

OP posts:
Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:24

I have suggsted a fishing rod in the past but she was horrified at the needless killing

dh suggests a yurt and a membership of PETA

he is unhelpful

OP posts:
dustystar · 20/10/2008 13:24

I've not seen the one advertised at the moment but dd has one with a dog on and its complete crap (although she still loves it)

brokenrecord · 20/10/2008 13:26

Trip to falconry centre - that and horses were my sad interests as a kid.

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:26

lololol

its this: journal thing

the reviews are NOT good

OP posts:
MamaG · 20/10/2008 13:26

Oh get her the bloody hamster you meany! They don't smell if you keep them clean (not that Im suggesting you're a mucky bitch or owt)

OK, think about other sporty stuff that she might enjoy - good quality football? Basketball hoop and ball for outside?

Eniddo · 20/10/2008 13:27

ooh falconry
