I normanly have a tree in the living room window, and always stress over the kids pulling it down. I have decided this year we are not putting one up as we are getting a puppy in 6 weeks time, and have decided we would rather enjoy the puppy and have fun with him rather than worry about the tree, which he would no doubt try and eat. So was thinking of some sort of display on the wall instead. What do you think, and any ideas? Dont want wires all over the place, due to saftey of the pup. I will prob let the girls have a little tree in their bedroom and make that a puppy free zone.

A big bunch of pussy willow in a glass vase on the mantlepiece? You can send lights up to it (cable behind TV or something) and hang things from it too.

DP says you can get half trees that you put up on the wall.

how about this?

hehe christmas tree poster yep that would work lol.
No space for a table. No sodden mantlepiece and my plug sockets all 2 of them are in prime puppy chewing places. Would it be so bad to cancel christmas this year due to getting the pup, which my kids have bugged me about since we lost our rotty a few years ago. Will look at half trees, that might be the answer. Thanks for the replies

When my DS was little and crawling, my DH made one out of plywood. Two christmas tree shapes slotted together, with some rings of wood around. We then just put lights on it and a star. Didn't matter if it pulled down then.
