I know its early but I need to start saving now, no idea what to get dd1 for main present.

Dd2 wants a bike which is great, no idea what to get dd1 she is 5 has all the big presents and I dont want to waste money for the sake of it. Is she too young to buy her a desk for her bedroom?

I think that's a great idea. Then you could get writing sets and arty crafty sets to go with it. My dd (nearly 6) would LOVE a desk for her bedroom,unfortunately we don't have room for one.

My dd got a fab desk last Xmas when she was 4.5 and she loves it!!! She plays schools all the time so make sure you get her the whiteboard (£11 from Homebase) whiteboard pens (tesco), register and notebooks! the you'll ahve peace and quiet for hours unless you're the 'pupil' of course!

It's a brilliant idea. In her stocking you could then give her a pretty pot for pens, some gel pens, stickers etc for "working" at her desk. A register is a fab suggestion too.
