Hello I was (am) really kean to buy this for DD for christmas. However on browsing various sites it seems that it will cost £39 !!! Apparently it's not due for re-release from Disney, until 2012. Should I be foolish & get it anyway?? (I love this film )

it's one DVD (so no extras) andit's imported froma different country, so you need to make sure your DVD player is multi region

I wouldn't spend £39 on one Disney DVD.
If you have a video recorder, you can pick up pre-watched videos on ebay and at car boot sales for £2-3.

Thanks everybody. Sadly will have to check with DH to see what our DVD player does, but will certainly look at ebay!

I was faced with this dilemma two Christmases ago when my DD decided she NEEDED the film to watch. I got a video from a local charity shop for £2 and my daughter was very happy for the three or four months that Beauty and the Beast was so necessary to her life (I felt a bit mean, wrapping it up, but she honestly didn't seem to mind, or even notice, the secondhandness.) I think when Disney do release it again, we'll treat ourselves to a new DVD!
