Had always wanted to take the dc to see Santa in Harrods like I did as a child but this year is fully booked!!!!!!! As my lot will be 5,5 and 4 this year have a horrible feeling next year may not be viable iykwim!!!!!!!!

So firstly reassure me next year will be viable and 2ndly where else can I take them this year in London that won't be a rugby scrum, am thinking Hamley's will be.

3rdly do I need to book Santa for next year now and if so how ????

do you have 2 kids or 3?

Turniphead1 · 08/10/2008 17:10

We did Selfridges last year. Nice train in the grotto. Easy to book online. And you got free books. Santa looked great - but he was a bit crap with the children a little sullen.

MilaMae · 08/10/2008 21:31

I have 3 dc.

Do I just go to Selfridges store online then, can't see anything specific to click on?

Nappy - I would be happy to take them if you do not need them. Let me know what you would want for them.

I have just heard that there is a Santas Grotto thingy at the new Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush. It is free for tickets but for a charge of £1.20 per ticket you can book in advance so you will not have to queue with the rest. They are supposed to be going quickly but you can book through there website or call 08719189218 to book. Looks like it is the last place in London that has tickets!!!!!!!

awayfromhome · 13/11/2008 20:32

Harrods was booked a month ago, I was then as well! Selfridges is now also fully booked for advance tickets, but I think that if you get there early you can get in..

You can't give your Harrods tickets to someone else. Mine says "Harrods reserve the right to cancel Grotto E-tickets that have been transferred or resold, if you can no longer attend at the date and time allocated on your Grotto E-ticket please contact customer services. Harrods reserves the right to refuse admission to Harrods Christmas Grotto". It also says you may be asked for proof of id.
