homemade christmas presents

does anyone make their own christmas gifts?

I make fudge and maramalade and sometimes shortbread but was after some other easy ideas that can be made a little in advance and dont cost too much

have just seen these am going to make some and put them in these

I got given cookies in a jar once - all the ingredients for chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies layered in a glass jar with a lovley ribbon and label with the instructions on it (it was all the dry ingredients of course - you had to add melted marg etc!) Think the trick was to press the layers (eg flour, brown sugar, chocolate chips etc) down firmly to avoid them getting all mixed up.

and the chocolate things are a birlliant idea, i remember thorntons do a huge bag of choc ships/buttons specificaslly for this type of thing
