Think this has just been released this morning. I have no idea who James Norton is but it’s an alright watch!

I really liked it, funny and unabashedly trying to sell stuff! Found it a nice change after the more generalised feelgood ones - they can be good but every major retailer doing one every year gets a bit twee and oversaturated.

No opinion either way about dawn french not being in it - I really like her, she’s funny, not watched any of her recent reels etc so no idea about any recent “falls from grace” but frankly I don’t really care about that! Hadn’t clocked she was usually in their adverts as I normally fast forward through or mute them 🤣

Bloody hell Im in floods now!

I liked the idea of it and actors but kept thinking they should have done better with the plot - inviting a stranger in off the street, not recognising M&S food when Mrs Christmas shops there. I know it's not realistic obviously but these bugged me ! Pleased to see the back of Dawn French.

Anyone but DF is an improvement - she was great back in the day - totally unhinged nowadays.

Marks and Spencer ad lovely-full of Christmas and sparkle and joy.

Although he really does need the beard back-can't be fancying Father Christmas-it feels wrong 😉

And like the tesco and Sainsbury's ads-where the drivers would def have been sacked for going off list-of course no stranger invites him in but it's ok to suspend belief and just enjoy the celebrations.

Burberry and Jo Malone both have lovely ads full of velvet and tartan and sparkle and to be honest it's a treat at Christmas to just have fun and enjoy it.

I've seen a couple of videos that Dawn French has made recently (just talking to the camera herself, close up) and I thought she came across as drunk.

I didn't like the advert much, but my god James Norton is a handsome man.

If you want an introduction to James Norton try Grantchester or War & Peace.
Avoid Happy Valley as it will likely put you off him for life.

He's done a Comfort Eating podcast with Grace Dent which is very lovely.

The M&S advert is fun and a little bit of light relief and a complete contrast to the woke nonsense and the ghastly ungrateful grandchildren in the JL advert. What was KST thinking being associated with that disaster.

I watched him in Happy Valley and didn't find him at all attractive, because of the character he was playing.
