Christmas dining table set ups

[Fieldday26]

Please show me your Christmas table set ups. We’ve moved house and looking for inspiration for my new dining table Christmas Day set up.

What snap table and how many people?

We will have 6 people on an oval table but wa hoping people would share pics of their colour schemes and centre pieces etc

I’ve got a very small table so I made a hanging decoration to save some space. On the table, I had a very natural greenery with white flowers. I used bits of fir snipped from local woods plus bay from the garden and some pine cones etc I’d collected.

No photos but 6 people - dining room is dark blue so a white a blue damask cloth with a dinner service with blue borders. White flowers arranged with greenery in a blue and white tureen, little white candles down the middle of the table. Dark blue crackers.

Mantlepiece and overmantel draped with ivy with little lights entwined and some silver stars.

It’s a bit early for me to set mine up

Have you checked out Mrs Alice? Lots of table-scaping ideas - especially for maximalists.

My absolute favourite job of the year … laying the Christmas table 😀
No pictures as too identifiable but I usually change it each year. A white table cloth with a runner made from folded wrapping paper matching my theme, usually reindeer related. Hand made crackers, treat boxes and a centrepiece

I was thinking people might have photos from last year.

No, where can I find this?

White tablecloth, ‘special’ (Dunelm cheap) white dinner set with gold stars, white napkins with gold star napkin holders, gold /clear glassware, green ivy/wood candle holders, gold crackers and cute white and gold paper angels on each table setting- that’s my normal

I usually have a centre piece made with fresh greenery and a few deep red roses but this has to come off when the table is laid so there is room for all the serving dishes. So instead I do a little posy of fresh herbs/greenery for each place, together with a place name of some description, post meal chocolate and a cracker. Any visiting grandchildren get a ‘table present’ to keep them occupied 😀We also have a Christmas tablecloth, red napkins and the best china.
