DD has been accepted to run Paris! I would love to get a gift related to it. She has all the running gear but has anyone seen anything else?
Thank you

Can you get on your bike and support her on a few longer runs ? Or meet her at key stages of the longer runs to hand over water and sweets and cheering words ? Training is brutal and lonely

or some PT or yoga sessions to build muscles and help prevent injuries ?

Congrats to her! So exciting.

Check whether Paris has restrictions on what hydration systems you can wear on the day (the recent Chicago marathon did not permit Camelbak or backpack or bladder style but did permit front pocket vests, waist belts, handheld and soft bottles).

What will she be using to fuel her run? This can get pricey when you add in the lead up, as she accustoms her gut to higher sugar.

Has she got plans to join a running clinic? Great for having company on runs, and often experienced runners. You could pay for that, depending on cost and budget.

Love Ablemind’s idea of personalized tags, with a message to her for when she is out running.

There will exclusive Paris marathon merch when she does the Marathon.. research the costs and give her enough money to buy an exclusive hoodie/ear buds etc.

alternatively does she have the bone conduction headphones? If not they are amazing.. you can hear your surroundings as well as the music and they are super comfortable

I was coming to say this too. They are a lovely memento too.

A massage voucher for after the event!

My DC bought me a credit card sized thin metal ’plaque’ inscribed with a very personal and inspiring message. I carried it with me on the day and have treasured it ever since. No idea where they got it from, but I’m guessing somewhere like Not on the Highstreet?

Some brilliant ideas here thank you!

I got my DD really good running socks - she struggled to justify the cost to herself (despite spending huge amounts on carbons).

Does she have a decent head torch for winter runs? I use the slimline Silva one with the rear light.
Tube of Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream, again for winter faces, lips, hands and knees.
Really nice shower gel (this is the time to splurge on Molton Brown, they do a nice mini selection box) and scrubby gloves.
