Another "can you help me find"... Cashiers till for older children 6-8yrs

DD (nearly 7) wants a till for Christmas. All the ones I can find are either really baby-ish suitable for 3yrs up types, or actual tills that look the part but will potentially slam her fingers to bits in the drawer.

Does a realistic till for older children exist please? Any recommendations?

Thank you x

That's the best I've seen... but I still think it's quite baby-ish.

And that's option 2, looks more like a proper till but in primary colours and doesn't have the scanner or the card reader of the other one.

At least the 2 suggested are the only 2 I could find that don't look straight out of a nursery. But they're still not right.if you see what I mean

Anyone got one that's better?

You can find some amazing vintage ones with pre-decimal currency, or obsolete decimal 1/2ps. I've got one on the windowsill of my home office as an interactive display item. Much better than what is around now, not expensive and more interesting.

When DD was younger we bought a real shop till with receipt from Costco for £50 - 60. We had many years of fun with this!

Some of these vintage ones are cool.

Now I want one that does tear off paper receipts!

Or if space isn't a problem ASDA sells an entire checkout (the size of a toy kitchen)

There seem to be fewer and fewer staffed tills every time I go to Asda, maybe they'd sell one of their actual tills to the OP as they must have loads they've got rid of! 😂

Oh my goodness - I had that first one and had completely forgotten about it until I clicked that link. Feeling so nostalgic now. I suddenly remember the feel of the buttons!

You could go retro with this wooden one and use more grown-up play money, maybe?

Come on OP, admit it, the till is for you isn't it?

Does this look rubbish?

The vintage ones all look better but none (obviously) have the card reader or scanners
