Has anyone spent Christmas in Austria with young children and would recommend it? In particular Seefeld? Thanks!

Did you want to ski - more of a cross country place I think. Had a lovely week there but in the summer. Hotel Haymon. I can imagine it's lovely at Xmas.

I've spent Christmas in Austria, OP, but I was in Vienna.

Does Seefeld appeal to you in particular?

Seefeld is absolutely beautiful - I remember it having quite a magical air from when I went many moons ago.
I once spent Christmas in the Alps ( but not Austria) as a child, and I loved it.

Have spent Xmas in any number of Austrian resorts and it's be great. One warning - a couple of years ago I tried to take my daughter to a special children's Xmas service at a local church. We are not Christians but I thought it my be interesting in term of expanding her knoweldge of the world. I'd assumed it would be 45 mins or so followed by mince pies. She showed a Damien-like refusal to enter the church so I didn't, push the point, but I dd notice that 2 hours later the service was still going on!

Thanks all! It wouldn’t be for skiing, just for a snowy magical Christmas with the kids (age 3 and 5). We love Austria in the summer and for skiing but have never been in the winter purely for a ‘snow’ holiday.

We were looking at Seefeld as reviews say it’s likely to have snow, a magical village and also not too far from Innsbruck airport!
