I might have…..
was scrolling TikTok and thought I’d search on there as I know it pops up on here fairly frequently. The light she has posted are exactly what I’d like. Slow twinkle of random bulbs. She has posted the link and there is a video on their website with a demo. £44 so not cheap but maybe?
If this is wrong, I’m going to be so annoyed with myself.

Twinkling lights are not a rarity in the UK?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 07/10/2026 20:26

The random ones definitely are. You can get flashing ones in every store but not the twinkling lights. The flashing ones are fast and have a pattern.

Most lights have 8 modes or something now, one of which is twinkling. The range sell a huge selection of these.

All mine have twinkle mode

Sold!! I absolutely feel your pain, good fairy lights are seemingly impossible to find these days!!!

The last two years I have bought new ones hoping for a different result but both created the effect of a spaceship landing in my living room. Too bright, no ambience, silly settings!

I know the lights you mean because they’re my favourite as well. However, I’m confused why you’re struggling with finding them in the UK until now because I’ve been using the slow random twinkle lights for the past 20 years and every replacement set of fairy lights has the slow random twinkle lights as an option.

Our ones do have a twinkle setting, but every time you switch them on you have to press a button repeatedly and go through all the other settings resembling a demented lighthouse first.

Yes!!! Why are the wildest settings 1st?!

I was hopeful that these would be what I’m looking for, but no. These are still too fast for me and only certain bulbs twinkle. I’m still searching to replace ones that broke years ago; they would very slowly fade in and out randomly and all the bulbs would do it.

Those have a pattern, the same lights are staying permanently lit whilst others are just flashing on and off.

All of my newer ones have about 8 different twinkle, fade on and off, flashing modes etc. don't think it's that rare?
