Any nice candle recommendations please?

Am wanting to get a manager at work a nice little christmas gift, i work for a law firm and she’s a partner, she’s quite classy so want to get her something nice but don’t have the budget for the white company or similar.
any recommendations that are cheaper but still nice? Thanks

I can't remember how much they are, but the sand+fog candles are lovely (winter pine is gorgeous). You can usually buy them in TK Maxx, but if they don't have them they have loads of lovely ones to smell and choose

If she likes really good candles I’d be tempted to get her a beautiful box of matches rather than a cheaper candle. Archivist matches are lovely and around a tenner a box. Something to consider anyway

Also the white company tend to have a box of star shaped scented candles/tealights. These could work instead of a larger candles.

DW Home ones from TK Maxx, they’re my faves. Also agree with the poster who said Sand and Fog!

Some recommendations for smaller independent candle shops - sorores aromatherapy and SPE candles - really nice fragrances without huge price tags

Field Day candles are amazing. The whole house smells when I light them.

The Plum and Ashby candles are my new favourite. I rate them above white company ones .

Melrose Candle Company (small Edinburgh business) do lovely ones. Jars are £20 but they do a second for £10, so great value.

I got this Trio Candles - I bought from this seller off a recommendation last year on MN and I was thrilled. Looks exactly like the White Company ones, only half the price and just as lovely.

I asked if I could substitute some of the scents for different ones as she also sells other candle scents not included in that list in other vessels. So my 'trio' was a personalised order of scents I knew the person I was buying for liked so I got Winter Wonderland, Bonfire Night (which smells like Feu de Bois) and Christmas Morning (Buttery Croissant). Also came exactly as described, complete with bow etc. Can't beat that for customer service 😍
