The imitation Lego tree decorations

I am bombarded with adverts for ‘building bricks’ Advent calendars. They look fine in the pictures but I suspect they will disappoint.
24 little Christmassy Lego type tree decorations.
Has anyone actually bought and would recommend them for a 9 year old?

They look very AI and will probably not be like that at all.
If you want some cheaper than Lego alternatives have a look at the brands Block Tech and Zuru Max (both sold at The Entertainer as well as other retailers).
There's some nice looking Christmas sets out.
I have already bought the Max Christmas Tree.

I haven’t seen the specific ads you’re talking about, but I know BlueBrixx are doing advent calendars. Their ‘LEGO’ is very good and considered acceptable by my LEGO mad DH.

To be honest if you want an advent calendar just get one of the official Lego ones.
At just over £20 they are a good price.
(I haven't built any BlueBrixx mentioned above but I know Lego obsessed folks who have and say the quality is fine)

Are they actually little building kits or are they flat images of built objects to hang on the tree? A lot of the calendars which look as if they are little resin models of whatever are actually flat-printed pictures of 3d models, I believe - you literally get the picture from the advert rather than the thing it is a picture of.

That’s exactly what I was wondering, I hoped someone here had actually bought them.
