Ive bought my friend a gift presented in a large box and want to wrap or disguise it so it’s not obviously looking like a large box . I’m guessing the size of box is approx 50cm x 60cm . I was wondering about a large ‘ tub ‘ type storage bucket but they are quite bendable and hard to wrap . Any other suggestions gratefully received .

How deep is the box?

I sometimes use a paper table cloth to wrap large and awkward presents, could that work with your tub idea? So you put the present in the tub and gather the cloth around it, then tie with a bow.

We bought DD a bike one year (first proper bike when she was about 4). Halfords sold an enormous bag that fitted the bike. You could use the plastic box and then put the box in the bag?
Another option - I’ve started wrapping gifts in fabric (like the Japanese style Furoshiki. You could buy a Christmas tablecloth and wrap it in that - with or without the box. It’s easier to wrap in fabric than paper.

Could you get one of those tubs as you say, cover the box in that shredded tissue paper you can get in car factory etc and take the it to a florist? Our local florist has lots of lovely cellophane and will wrap gifts and put bows on and they always look lovely.

Leave it unwrapped and make the "present opening" part of the experience a mini treasure hunt

This is a lovely idea but I’d need to find a local florist , never seen one offer this service but you never know .
