I have 2 kids and in my experience the under 5s can be really easily overwhelmed by too much excitement, so less is more. I would just find a couple of Bluey and Paw Patrol themed gifts she will like but not overdo it.

Last year Tesco had Bluey wrapping paper.
Perhaps some Bluey Christmas pyjamas for 1st December?
There are some cute Bluey hardback books.
Smyths has lots of Bluey and Paw Patrol toys, also look on Vinted as lots of people will be clearing out toys in the next month or so.

I actually didn't think about this, maybe a nice gift box for December 1st, thanks

No, parents going overboard is mostly for themselves. A 3 year old would find a long day of constant excitement a lot to cope with and there are often tantrums which then leave you feeling deflated after making so much effort. A few toys and a balloon and she will be delighted I reckon.

Why would you need a gift box for Dec 1st?

Small children will find Christmas Eve/Christmas Day exciting enough. It will confuse them to get stuff on December 1st and then have to wait another 3 weeks - an endlessly long time to a 3 year old - for actual Christmas.

I agree with others that you'd do far better to make Christmas small and beautiful rather than utterly hyped up and overwhelming.

Cheaper for me definitely getting a few presents if it turns out it's too much you can open some more some later

Definitely don’t do a 1st dec box for a theee year old, they won’t get it,

Bare in mind the pressure to ‘beat’ yourself every year is a thing. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot by starting off big!

I looked it up turns out Christmas Eve boxes are quite popular so probably get her pajamas two Christmas stories a few little sweets

Personally, I think if you're giving PJs etc it's better to have them at the beginning of the month and can be worn in the run up to Christmas, rather than just getting them on Christmas eve.
If you're doing a December 1st box (I've not done one but I know lots do) you could put in a few Christmas books, a christmas jumper (especially if your child will have a Christmas jumper day at nursery, and you can get both Bluey & Paw Patrol ones, again look on Vinted).
You could get a Christmas duvet for their room to make it festive.
I love these Christmas bath toys from Dunelm, so cute, and would be nice to go in the box.

I'm probably going to keep it small and low key

I assume you mean 1st Christmas, but if she's 3 then how come it's her 1st Christmas?

It's the first Christmas where she understands what's going on

Mine was same age and interests last Christmas and got a Bluey colouring paper roll, 'Where's Bluey and Bingo?' book, Bluey socks and Bluey pj's. About £30. The book is still an absolute favourite!

That is crazy; you really don't need a whole ton of presents to impress a 3-year-old I was thinking I would have to splurge a lot turns out I don't

You sound like a lovely mum for wanting to make this so special.
Perhaps you both might like to go on some special festive days out - walks out to see twinkly lights with some Christmas chocolate, a trip on the bus into town to read Christmas books at the library, a special hot chocolate etc. enjoy.

I might have to do this make a tradition

We have a lovely bag of Christmas books- which come out every year- and get added to which come out on the 1st December. Definitely helps with the lead up- when she was 3 I wrapped them as a book advent calendar- but she found that overwhelming, and prefers to choose them from the box....
Things like polar express, night before Christmas, bluey Christmas etc
We also do Christmas pjs- when the Christmas decs go up, and Christmas pjs.... However less is more- I also kept some Christmas presents back for when she was poorly/bored in Jan/Feb/march.....
