Starting a thread to share ideas on gifts and stockings for this year…
in last year stockings the personalised nutella jar and the deliveroo gift cards were very well received. (Thank you to whoever shared those ideas last year!)
Looking for something a bit different this year.
so far i have bought their advent calendars (is it wrong to buy one for my now 18yo DS??!!) but not much else…

IFor stockings: am thinking about a Needoh cube or a Specs ring for my 14yo and my 16yo

Also last year we had The Traitors Christmas crackers and although they were expensive, they were really good!!

What things are they 'into'? How about tickets to an event or show?

If you know lots of little things they would like, you could make your own advent calendar. There are lots of ideas on Pinterest.

@pavillion1 somehow related my DS14 wants a “heated” onesie…. Debating whether this is a gimmick that may stop working after a couple of ise or if it will last at least 2 seasons….

Hmmm I’ve just had a google , I bet they are really heavy to wear

What was in the Traitors crackers? Can't imagine

Mistysmom · 27/09/2026 11:13

following for any tips! Im stumped with DS13 this year! He's asked for a PC upgrade but it doesn't need one for what he uses it for!

AuntieDen · 27/09/2026 11:43

Depending on budget, Contrado do oodies with your own design on them. They're not cheap but everything I've had from them before has been great quality so if they have specific interests or favourite pets etc it might be a good call.

Following for ideas! I have two teens - 18yo DS and 14yo DD.

DS usually gives me a wishlist nearer the time but a few ideas are…
Aftershave (his aftershave shelf is the source of much pride!)
Gymshark gym bag (possibly filled with his beloved protein powder and bars)
Cookbook
Thermal travel cup
I saw a daft but fun pool golf game in Flying Tiger but it’s sold out at the mo. Hoping to get hold of it at some point if it come back in stock!
He wants me to teach him poker so I may get him
some chips just for fun.

Stocking will feature stroopwafels and I’m stealing the Deliveroo gift card idea!

DD…
Perfume
Maybe Doc Martens
Pandora charm
Silver arm cuff
Art supplies
Flat Lay make up bag
Tickets to a manga/anime experience but not sure what yet

Stocking
Mini zen garden
Various Japanese snacks
Matcha powder
Micellar water
Chocolate fondue mug
Manga pin badges
Fudge

It was just a traitor inspired game with faithful and traitors (depending what was inside your cracker). You had to play with your phone to vote!

@Mistysmom DS14 wants a new graphic card but the prices have shot up because of AI i think and it is bloody expensive… im trying to manage down his expectations….

@AuntieDen that is definitely something my DS would like but i personally find it a bit ugly… i guess i wont be the one wearing it though…

@CoffeeChocolateWine perfume is always good!

I did body spray last year. Perfume a bit risky unless you definitely know they'll like the scent...

I got the Cosmopolitan beauty box for my 15 year DD - got a great discount after reading a thread on here. She has requested a pile of records so I'll be getting some of those too. For stocking fillers so far I have bought a Moomins purse, Eloise bangle/hair bobble and the Bohomoon necklace surprise.

For my DS 13, I have bought a bar bag for his mountain bike, the Lego Delorian, a Matcha set from Flying Tiger and a mini JPG after shave. For stocking fillers I have a bike chain fidget toy and puncture repair kit.

I'm trying not to buy too much in case one or both of them suddenly request something and I've already spent the budget.
