Warm white or multicoloured

Lights for my tree? I've done both over the years but really can't decide for this year. Adult DD and DH want multicoloured......but I'm not sure! What's everyone else having?

We always have multi coloured but they're old school lights, I don't like the blue on the modern led ones. It's too cold.

I always have warm white, with multicoloured baubles. We have lots of glittery multi coloured baubles and I think colourful lights would be a bit much for me to look at.

I have both 😁warm white for the twinkle, and old-school lights with the flower-shaped surround for the colours and memories.

Although, that reminds me- the last set blew, so I must dig them out and check all the bulbs.

I've gone back to multi coloured because they remind me of my childhood Christmases.

Same. I am a child of the 80s and I like everything colourful.

I’m always warm white on a twinkle setting

Ive also been been warm white as an adult but I am keen to bring back the multicoloured from the 80s/90s. Anyone know where one can buy a nice set?! The modern ones just dont hit right!

Im pondering this too. can't decide which to have this year. last year we had coloured and they were so lovely but I've also got warm white so might switch it around this year to warm white

There is a company that has brought out LED, modern, coloured lights that are just like the old 80s ones, with no harsh blue. As far as I know they are the only company that makes them, and they've just brought them to the market this year for the first time. This is something I've cared about for ages because the old coloured lights are a fire hazard and never last more than about two weeks for me before blowing! So here are the new ones: holly.co/shop/product/indoor-vintage-inspired-fairy-lights/7593c600-8952-4422-98d3-07df76afc056

My tree has it's own warm white lights and then I've got some battery powered blue stars, they're not a cold blue though. I do have some multi coloured twinkly lights but I've got a smaller tree now and they are too long for it.

I really like multicoloured as they remind me of childhood Christmases but the modern ones are so different. Thank you for this link. I shall have a look at those.

I did warm white last year but they were very yellowy so not nice. I need 1000+ lights for my tree. Does anyone have any recommendations of 'nice' warm white lights with a dark wire that don't look yellowy?

We did white and red last year. This year thinking Nordic white theme (I have those white Dutch house tea lights for the mantle) so I’m going for warm white this year. Christmas Day will be at my son’s by the sea so just bought some white lights that are encased in little seashells and starfish as he doesn’t normally bother to decorate much so doesn’t have anything. We will go with blue and white with a touch of red for the ornaments. Can’t wait!

I have some primark coloured ones from years ago that have pink and turquoise in them and they look really pretty , i'm thinking these this year for a change to my warm white ones .
I normally put normal white mixed with sparkly berry shaped white.
I love both looks but there is something very nostalgic about pastel -ish coloured lights.
