Are these photobooks going to be a good gift?

For Christmas this year I’ve decided to make Photobooks for my parents and my partners family of the first 5 years of our child’s life with them. So it’s filled with lots of photos throughout the years of them with their grandchild/great grandchild plus pets, cousins and additional family members where appropriate (my parents book is mostly just them, their pet and occasionally my grandma).

I’m hoping that it is going to go down well and be loved because I’ve been working on them for months but just had a thought that what if they don’t love Photobooks like I do? 😂 I make lots of Photobooks as it’s my thing but I’ve never actually made one for family before but I have made one for a friend that moved away which she loved so I at least know I’m not terrible at making them 🤷‍♀️😂

Most grandparents would love a photobook. I’m sure it will go down well.

Me too!! I’m always working on more than one 😂

I’ve only made a couple and they were so stressful to get all the pictures in the right place. I take my hat off to you for doing it more than once!

They will probably end up being 100-150 pages as there’s a lot to fit in with it covering 5 years!!

But also because there’s 2 books which have completely different photos to each other as it’s for both sets of grandparents and I’ve also been making my own photobooks and doing other life stuff at the same time 🤷‍♀️😂

Aww that’s lovely!! 🥰 I make yearly photobooks too and they’re so nice to look back at ☺️ If he gives them to you at Christmas does he leave December out or give you one of the previous year?

It can be very stressful!! It’s somehow less stressful doing multiple though as if I get stressed with one I can abandon it for a bit and work on another one 😂

Yes, exactly that, it normally starts with the Christmas photos from the year before, then ends around November time.

We've been together for 12 years and it's really nice to look through them all and see how your life has changed from year to year, I love them

It takes him a while to do it, all in secret, but he says it's because he has to spend ages cuttng it down from the mammoth one it usually starts as!
