Closest 'Selection Box' to the giant ones from my childhood but still not quite as big...

Giant Jaffa Cake!:

It seems to be more 'cake' than traditional 'Jaffa Cake'.

Boo the packet Jaffa cakes are about the size of an old 10p
Orangey bit in the middle is a scraping put on.

The 'McVities Jaffa Cake Bars' used to be tasty. Not tried one for a few years though...

Glad to find some of my fellow Christmas obsessives on here! I think about Christmas all year round but am definitely in full on festive mode from September onwards and love seeing all the Christmas goodies arrive in the shops! Unfortunately, due to being on a permanent stupid diet, I don't really allow myself to personally indulge in these treats until December, but it doesn't stop me from making sure our cupboards are well stocked for family and visitors!
The last few years I have been buying those little tins from Home Bargains, in the shape of Santa, a fairy or a gingerbread man, and containing chocolate coins or mini gingerbread men and which can be hung on the tree. They are only 99p and made lovely little presents for the kids. This year Home Bargains have also started doing really cute little baubles containing mini jammy dodgers and party rings which are also just 99p so I've already stocked up on them for stocking fillers. Last year, in the January sales, Home Bargains were also selling off small tins in the shape of cars with Christmas trees stuck to the roof and containing shortbread for 20p each. I bought a few of them thinking that, while the shortbread wouldn't last till this Christmas, they'd make a fun little gift filled with my own selection of sweets, I just have to remember I've got them an not leave them gathering dust at the back of the cupboard as has happened all too often with other bargains I bought in the January sales with the best intentions of gifting them next year!
Last year Aldi, who usually have a pretty good Christmas chocolate selection and whose chocolate sprouts are a perennial favourite in our house, did these really sweet little tin post boxes containing little chocolate letters to Santa which could then be used as money boxes and were also just 99p, I hope they're back this year too.
I will have to grab a pack of the gingerbread chocolate digestives too, they sound divine, maybe I could allow myself one forbidden treat before December!

I am a great lover of Jaffa cakes, probably my favourite biscuit (definitely not a cake!). I too used love the McVities cake bars and sad I haven't seen them in a while.
However, when it comes to the classic biscuit, I actually prefer the Aldi's on brand ones as I think they are more tangy and generally tastier than McVities. Also, I could be imagining it as I haven't held both types up against each other for comparison, but I think the Aldi ones are slightly bigger and you definitely get more in a packet for a cheaper price than the originals, so Aldi win hands down for me!
Having said all that, I am absolutely adding the giant Jaffa cake to my Christmas list!
