Can amazon stuff be ordered in private mode?

I all want to order a book for my son I have only found on Amazon but he still has access to my prime account so if I order it as I normally order stuff he he will see it and immediately know it's for him. Does any of you clever mumsnetters know if there are any ways of ordering regular stuff on my amazon account but in a "private" mode? So that it wouldn't show together with the rest of my orders?
I know that if it's not possible I can buy on one of the big bookseller's webpage and have it delivered but I'd rater not if I can help it. Ah, and I should say I ham disabled so receiving it at home without me having to go into town, which requires more energy than I am capable of atm

You should be able to order it from a different source and have it delivered.

If you log in on a desktop or laptop you can hide orders after placing them.

You can just make another Amazon account with a different email. Or order it from a different seller.

I don't think there's any "private mode" on Amazon.

But if you make another account it will charge postage because it's not the prime account.

The most convenient thing for you might be to just give them a call to place your order.

Either set up another account and link it to your prime as a "household". Or tell your DS to make his own account and add it to your household.

I know, but that's how I've gotten around this issue. I just accepted paying the delivery fee.

You can link the accounts as a household account. They both get prime benefits but can't see each others order history

Do you have a friend/family member who has an Amazon account that you can order through? I think an awful lot of people do now, so you should find somebody.

I’ve also set my own account and they often offer you free prime for a month or so, just have to remember to cancel it.

Prob easier to just set up the family account thing.

I’ve always asked friends for their login, I use my bank details but their prime account. Or they order it for me and I send them the money. They do the same with me around Christmas too.
be aware that if anyone shares your account they can also see your Amazon browsing history so they’ll be able to see what you’ve been looking at too. You can delete this though.
