Going away for Christmas

For various reasons I’m on my own this Christmas - I’m fine with that. Shift work, divorce, split families, abroad families, happens every 5 years. Family in NZ and I just can’t afford it and don’t have the AL to make it worthwhile.

So, waffle over, I want to go somewhere warm, not as far as NZ! Looking at Canaries which have never really appealed to me but weather and price seems right. Has CD anyone got any recommendations, probably AI just for ease?

What's your budget?

Go for it!

Following with interest as I am in the same boat!

Was thinking 1.5k for 5 nights if doable, could go a bit higher @BIWI

Go for it. Gran Canaria is lovely at Xmas.

I really like Gran Canaria especially as a single traveller. Lots of people go on their own and I didn’t feel odd eating out. Most of the apartments come with a little kitchen for self catering. Morgan area is especially pretty.
The south has the best weather and the beaches are all golden sands.
Puerto Rica is a little Brits abroad but it’s still got lots going for it.

Thank you! Looking at Gran Canaria now 🎄
