Me and my partner want to do something for ourselves this Christmas, but have never done this before!!
Has anyone got an idea for Christmas that we can go and do, rather than stay at home by ourselves.

Any ideas??

I once saw an ad for a hotel at Xmas in the Lake District it looked fabulous. How about something like that or somewhere snowy.

We're going to Lisbon for Christmas. Last year we went to Seville.

I’d go on holiday (but where depends on what your personal needs are)

After years of hosting we are going away this year - just to a coastal cottage in the uk. I plan to make some lovely dishes in advance and freeze them so I don’t have to do much cooking on the day/while we are away, and spend as much time as possible outdoors hiking. Afternoons will be spent playing board games/doing jigsaws/watching films.

I’d go to Gran Canaria if I could. Ragdale Hall Spa and Hotel looks fabulous for Christmas. We used to rent an apartment on the coast. I love walking by the sea on Christmas Day.

I think it depends what kind of things you like doing / financial situation.

There's quite a few UK Hotels that do a Christmas stay , Xmas eve through to say the 27th? Meals included etc.

Or you could go abroad - lots of potions there.

Nice cottage in UK with log fire 🔥/ country pub.

Sounds perfect 👌 🎄

Not sure if you mean going away, but friends of ours who don’t have children stay at home, go out for a curry, then indulge on treats they don’t have the rest of the year (expensive cheeses from a cheese monger; hand made chocolates; liqueurs and watch a favourite film.
I quite like the sound of that!

If i was well enough to go away, I'd want to go on a river cruise through Germany. It's on my when I get my transplant I'm going to ...... list
