Room decoration ideas

I‘m after some new decoration ideas for various rooms in the house.
I don’t want loads, just a few really tasteful things in each room in the house.

Not candles - I have various of these and some Pinterest ideas for including candles in table decorations. Although if you have pictures of some really lovely ideas that would be great, especially incorporating candles into windowsill decors. Ü

Plants/flowers: I’ve tried growing paperwhites and have had mixed success at them blooming at the same time. I always have Poinsettias as I love them. Maybe I could incorporate those into bigger decors?

Any other plant ideas?

i use Christmas baubles a lot in various shaped glass vases with little lights. Not so keen on hanging baubles.

We have a tree in the lounge and some lovely wooden painted figures (Santa/snowmen/reindeer) which I quite
like and would add to if I can find similar - TKMaxx / Homesense usually the best source.

I also have Christmas cushion covers I made when someone gifted me some Christmas material last year.

So I already have quite a lot but I also like to change s few things each year.

The above hopefully gives you an idea of my style, I’d be really grateful for ideas. Asking now as we always have a busy few months leading up to Christmas so I am planning while I have the time and headspace

we have a collection of scandi style tin houses which we put battery candles in on the windowsill.

Has now developed into a whole scene with a string of light balls as a nod to snow, wire reindeer, bottle brush trees and a strings of tin reindeer and snowflakes in the sky. We make no attempt to worry about scale and its certainly 'naïve' but aside from the cats regularily removing the trees it works quite well

We have a lot of garlands: one going up the banisters, one across the mantelpiece, and shorter ones over the top of the mirror and paintings.

I like the idea of making scenes on tbe window sill thank you @AuntieDeni do have some pieces I could use as a base and will google for more ideas, thank you.

Thank you @Forgottenmyphonei love garlands up bannisters. Unfortunately ours is solid ie no spindles and we don’t have a mantelpiece - but I’m thinking we have some cupboards and bookshelves where that might work

I was building quite a little windowsill village from the m and s light up tins from the last few years , but it looks like they have changed the design this year . I do frequently see them in charity shops though from previous years .
