As the title says - I’ve just had my first mince pie of the season!

Has anyone else indulged yet? I had a Lidl Deluxe, very tasty. Will limit my household (DH and me) to one box in Sept and one in Oct so not to be sick of them come actual Christmas time.

Put your recommendations here!

Had my first one of the season last night. I’m going to try and limit myself this year as I swear I put on half a stone last year just through Mince Pies BlushGrin

Ohhh so tempting! I only eat my mince pies warmed up with thick double cream so one box a month is probably a good plan for me.
I like the sound of the crumble topped pies!
Got the M and S Christmas food magazine yesterday and there’ll be cherry mince pies soon which sound intriguing.

Only one? I've just polished off my first box (Waitrose brown butter minis, highly recommend).

Haven't had any yet, but it's only a matter of time. I quite like them at this time of year. Also, there's so much rich food around at Christmas that the mince pies tend to get forgotten about. I've often bought two boxes around, say, the 20th December, so I'll have some in over the Christmas. Then I end up throwing them out in January/February 'cos they've gone out of date.

They'll be fine for a bit longer.

You throw out Mince Pies? I think I might need a lie down…

I’m on my October box now - Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference. I think the Lidl Deluxe ones I had in September were better.

November may be where I branch out to the alternative’ flavours. And then December will probably be a free-for-all 😂

You do what? Shock! Bash them up and mix them into softened vanilla ice cream and refreeze
