Wrapping paper

Has anyone seen wrapping paper in a physical shop yet? If so, where. Or other good offers on wrapping paper would be appreciated too.

No but I do hope to see some better designs this year.

Sadly ours hasn’t got it out yet. A few bits are appearing in the Xmas aisle (and they’ve got the Halloween aisle full now) but I went in yesterday hoping for some. And no.
Thanks though- I’m sure it won’t be long. I was hoping to wrap as things arrive and store in named boxes or themed boxes (eg family x or family y) so need to get my hands on paper soon!!

Next has some lovely Christmas wrapping paper - however only seen this online

Costco had some when I was there about 4 weeks back. Really big rolls good quality.
I didn't look at the patterns as I don't need that much paper 😄

Last Christmas I finally finished a roll of the double sided Costco that I bought in 2016. It's like the cling film: never ending.

I always buy mine in the January sales along with tags and Xmas cards. I assumed everyone did this? 😳

DD sent me a photo of Christmas decoration from inside a local Next that she went into yesterday lunchtime.

When you go to rebuy it you'll be "HOW much?"
It's like the bin bags when I run out and have to buy elsewhere. 20 inferior bags costs ££. Lesson learned. Don't run out 🤣

Home bargains or the range might have some?

Loads of gorgeous stuff online. I got the Harry Potter stuff from hallmark on TikTok

I normally do this (and did it this year but DH found it and let the kids use it 🙄), so on the hunt for some new bargains for paper. Haven't got many to buy for this year but still would like a bargain.

Does anyone know of any cheap paper? Doesn't need to be good quality as it is for a kids, which will just tear it off 😂

Mostly given up on wrapping paper and use gift bags, As most of the presents are for immediate family and we all spend Christmas morning opening our presents here I end up storing them. I'm kind of fed up with them but the exciting bit is finding gift tags to sort of match - I cut up old cards to make them so this is very much a challenge.

Anyway back to wrapping paper - I've not seen any yet

B&M and The Range have wrapping paper in store. I've seen that a lot of stores have it online if you like to explore that route too.

TK Maxx will have it in store shortly. They also sell the American style wrapping paper which is double-sided if that makes your Christmas headband jingle! 😁

Just curious! I've seen online that people are wrapping each person's gifts in 1 type of wrapping paper to avoid using tags? Is that what the majority do now?

Our local Card Factory normally starts putting the Christmas wrapping paper out in late August (although I've not been in recently, so not sure if they have this year). They had some lovely designs in 2024 but 2025 was very disappointing.

I started doing that a few years ago and it definitely makes wrapping the stocking fillers easier.

We do
roll for each child and then the sheets from whitefish (when on offer) for everyone else.
Cheaper roll for each child for Santa presents
Works for us!

The Range had loads in (and were getting their Christmas displays up) on Friday when I was in there. Made me feel quite festive!

I used to do for my DC. The Costco 4 rolls pack had one side patterned and other side grids for easy cutting.
We had 2 rolls that toned ( maybe green and gold but different patterns) and 2 rolls different ( red and green ) so we knew which present for DS or DD.

Yes! Next - instore and online. When I expressed shock to the employee who served me she said she'd sold four that day already (it was 27 degrees outside at the time!!)

Have done this for years now for the kids as it makes wrapping and stashing away gifts far easier. Family and friend presents get personalised stickers bought off a link shared here a few years ago instead of tags.
