Has anyone done this Christmas experience in London/Devon/Kent

we originally were looking at London but tbh we would be only going for a night or two just to do this so don’t really think it matters which we pick unless they are all different? Prices vary wildly between the locations

age 4 and 2 kids are . Both obsessed with trains and the movie, would watch all the time if we allowed them. They love the songs and can quote it 🤣

It's fun - we went to the Norfolk location on 2 separate Decembers. And my kids would love to go again this year, though we will likely try something else just for a change.

It's a bit of a massive event but the performers do talk to each family and make time for photos etc.

We went for train times after dark, which I think adds to the magic but it's a balance between that and possible overtiredness! Plenty of hot choc to keep sugar levels high though...

I was dubious about wearing PJs in public but eventually treated myself to a snazzy new pair so I felt ok wearing them out of the house. People (young and old) really do wear PJs.

We did the london one. It was really fun although expensive

We did the kent one. It was good. My older ones not as bothered.
my youngest hasn’t done it so potentially if I do it again I wouldn’t take my older ones.
im not sure it’s worth the cost of doing it when we did as it was peak. I’d book off peak next time (November)

My colleague takes her DC on all these things, says it's tacky as hell but the kids love it and talk about it forever.

Ive done it in Kent (Spa Valley) - it was well-done, kids loved it! Only downside was the cookies were awful 😖 but really lovely atmosphere, dancing waiters was really fun and as PP said, staff take time to really make you feel welcome

PIL took DS to the Norfolk one nearly 4 years ago, he still talks about it. MIL also bought new PJs for the occasion 😁

Can’t believe the price of them. Granted, I have 5 DC but even if you have 2 it’s at least £200. Think it’s £500 if I want to take mine so, like, not happening.

We did the Bham one and loved it

We did Devon, it was great!
