Stocking filler ideas for a 12-year-old boy

Any suggestions for a young 12 year old boy?
I have so many things for his sister already purchased as girls seem to be easier, but not sure what to get as stocking fillers for my son who will have only just turned 12.

I have ruled out deodorant, pants and socks as he has previously commented about that being when you are old, so it feels like he is too young to make it more practical (and in his eyes boring).

I also don't want to pop in a Greggs gift card this year as to my knowledge his sister is still a believer (and he might be too) and this is not the sort of thing Santa would bring.

He does not like football or any sport for that matter.

Any ideas please!

Something related to his favorite characters or artists maybe? Could be merch items or just fan-made stuff like keychains, figurines, stickers, phone cases etc. You can also make a custom desk pad calendar with their pictures or have their picture printed on a t-shirt or a hoodie.

Rucksack or ‘man bag’ - one of those cross body type bags for boys and men

Some things I have got for my DS (mix of little advent gifts and stocking fillers)

LEGO F1 Collectible Race Cars
Fidget spinner made from a bike chain
Mr Beast chocolate bar
Mini puzzle
Top Trumps
Bare Kind socks (I do it every year for both my kids, a % of the sale goes to support the animal on the sock)
A trick of some sort - something I do every year but haven't bought yet.

How about a few Iittle ‘young things’ or silly things with some snacks/practical more grown up gifts

whoopie cushion,
fart ninja,
fortune telling fish,
pop it game,
fidget toys,
rubix cube,
kazoo,
joke shop items (fly in ice cube, fake dog poop? Buzzer trick pen etc)

Japanese sweets have always gone down well with ds, and those jelly beans where one of the flavours is disgusting.

Good quality single magic trick? Maybe a bit young but it can be comforting if Santa stays a little bit younger.

I got a foot long pen made out of different highlighters somewhere recently.

Maybe have a look on the works or hobbycraft websites.
If he likes art/craft drawing pad, pencils, marker pens ( ones that look to be more artist ones than felt tips etc).
You may find other vonstrucion/model kits- i know there are sone animal ones I have seen in hobbycraft and other places

Are there any book series he is interested in?

What about puzzle books, fact books on things he may be interested in- Minecraft, films, space etc?
Jigsaw puzzles

Ravensburger Puzzle balls come in different themes ( 15 year old has one of the moon, DH had one of grogu and I had one of pooh bear).
Fidget toys
Playing card games- there are different versions of uno, double, top trumps etc.
If ypu want toiletries, vut he thinks they are for when you get old, what about themed ones?
Stationery of any kind.
Power bank/headphones/earphones/wifi speaker.
Socks/clothes

I try to buy some stocking gifts linked to our summer holiday - a particular food/brand they discovered or a memento from their favourite activity. This year DS2 (13) found a pair of heart shaped sunglasses in one of the AirBnBs we stayed in and wore them loads. We obviously left them behind, so I have bought a pair for his stocking. I'll also get some Chips Ahoy cookies (we were in the US) and some Joyride candy.

Expansion sets for games he likes - Doomlings has been a big hit, and there are plenty of Expansion packs available.

My 12 year old son loves a fidget toy- the ‘needoh’ ones seem popular

he also loved 3D printed tat- not that I agree with is as it’s all landfill fodder but likes things like ‘impossible cones’ and a keyring of 4 keys of a keyboard

He loves the board game ‘chameleon’ - it’s a bit like imposter. It’s actually a great family board game to play and if you need it to fit in a stocking then the travel edition would suit. Also saw the task master travel game the other day which looks fun

on amazon right now, sharpie acrylic pens are on sale so that might be an idea

random, but my son has asked for ‘tippex’ for his birthday- no idea why

last christmas I got him a Newton’s cradle’ and it was his favourite gift

I usually get the same old for my boys
shower gels, chocolate coins, mini Pringles, a novelty pen or pencil, mini Lego, gift card
great looking through the ideas I might switch it up a bit this year!
