Hi. Does anyone know of any companies that sell vintage decorations? I’d love to add some to my collection. I was thinking of looking soon as I expect there might be less around nearer the time. Thank you!

Loads on ebay

Are you talking about new ones that look vintage or do you mean genuine vintage, eg old mercury glass baubles etc?

There are loads on ebay, but brace yourself for a shock when you see the prices the old stuff goes for.

Sasse and belle. My husband bought me a gorgeous set of glass baubles with the kaleidoscope middle after I got talking about how much I loved them as a child. They were expensive but the gladden my heart every Christmas that I hang them in the tree.

Thank you all so much. Would love genuine vintage but anything of that style would be lovely.

I did find some lights in an antique shop. They were in excellent condition and boxed. Identical to the ones we had on the tree as a child and still have but no longer work. They have pictures of nursery rhymes on them eg Humpty Dumpty, Cinderella

I did a huge buy up (well, huge for me) of vintage baubles about 10yrs agao and as is my wont, got very sucked in and enjoyed searching for amazing ones esp from eastern Europe. Search via etsy and ebay.

Newbridge has some nice things. So does Belleek. And St Justin.

I want to now redo all my Christmas decorations. My aunt had some Belleek for her Christmas that she set out each year. It always looked good.

Charity shops often sell vintage Christmas decorations.

My Mum had those same ones. We donated them to a charity shop after she died because we all had sets of Christmas lights.

I have so many sets of lights, mostly kept for sentimental reasons. The ones I found were in Lewes

Tk maxx and home sense do the BEST traditional glass vintage style ornaments. I’ve got loads. 70s style robots, Santa riding a sea turtle, Santa on a rubber ring, traditional glitter and decorated glass baubles etc. they are very reasonably priced too. Gisela Graham is good as well. I also love the lemax villages and I have the facade range as they are slim line. They look gorgeous. Bents garden centres are also a great treasure trove .
