The tree is down at last!

Thank god all the extra Christmas clutter is gone too. Can enjoy being miserable again now in my austerity.

When do you take yours down?

Usually 2nd or 3rd of January. The beloved tree that we excitedly chose and decorated a few weeks ago gets ceremoniously burned along with the front door wreath and table centrepiece!

Took mine down today too. I actually felt sad and don’t normally. The living room looks so sparce and dull (I put some twinkly lights above the fireplace as wasn’t ready for the dimness).

Mine came down yesterday. I used it as an opportunity to move things around a bit in the living room. The room does feel a little bare but I don’t mind that.

I love putting up and decorating our tree. But so also enjoy getting the house back to normal.

I’m starting to think about preparing for the Spring and am planning to grow flowers from seed. I haven’t done it for a few years but really enjoy it when I have.

Our came down yesterday. Ah the extra space is wonderful. I still need to find homes for all the new stuff though.

Mine is still up, DCs are not back at school until tomorrow so I'm looking forward to taking it down and doing a deep clean in peace.

I'm usually an ardent 12th nighter but I feel next year I might take the tree down earlier, it feels wierd being one of only a few houses with the tree still up.

Mine came down yesterday, I normally take everything down the day after NYD but we were away for a couple of nights so we were a bit delayed. I do feel once new years day has gone it's all over and done with and I'm itching to take them down, I can't be having decs up when the kids go back to school, it just feels wrong!
