Every year I make the same mistake and don’t plan for the fact that both my husband and my son have birthdays in January! I’ve used all my good ideas and now I’m stuck!
What presents went down well with your partners/brothers/dads and early teenage sons? Thanks in advance for letting me steal your best ideas!

My son has a end of December birthday, so it's always hard. How old will your son be?

My dad has a January birthday, so I'm planning on getting him a B&Q voucher and a bird watching book.

Sorry, I just saw you said early teenage. My ds was 14, for his birthday he had a bow and arrow set, earpods, gaming chair, new belt.

How about some lego?

Gaming stuff? Or hobby related bits?

My son will be 13 in a few days, he's getting Lego, Stranger Things merch, new sleeping bag, graphic novels and something for cadets. He got similar for Christmas, but other hits were hot chocolate maker, Think Words, Tilt n Shout and Herd Mentality.

His list also includes a surf board, bike, electric guitar, squishmallows and some other bits I don't recall!

My husband got lots of consumables, books and one of the Funko Pop figures of himself.

I have November and December birthdays for both my daughters and husband (and me!), experience vouchers and show tickets are generally the way forward

I have my birthday first week of Jan and whilst it's really boring I like to receive vouchers so I can treat myself later in the year!

Me and my dad have birthdays next week- awful time to have a birthday!
Hubby has bought me theatre tickets to a show later in the year. I have bought my dad a jumper.
My son's 11 but he loves all things gaming! He did hint that he'd like a labrador for his next birthday- not likely as we've already got a cat and dog! We bought him a zookeeper experience for Christmas as he didn't want a 'thing'.

I bought my family with January birthdays an escape room in an envelope game. I played it at a friend's house over Christmas and really liked it. So it's my go to present for everyone this year!
