I'm looking for an excuse for not taking down my fairy lights and twigs

I had covid for 3 weeks and missed Christmas. I put up a few fairy lights and twigs and they are so pretty, I don't want to take them down. But I'm quite superstitious and really can't handle any more issues. Is it really bad luck not to take them down by 12th night? Thank you

I have fairy lights up all year.

Same, including a string of led lights up a flight of stairs on the handrail that pool into a glass vase with pussywillow and red berries on twigs that have been up since 2018. We love it

This is my current view, these are here all year long (including the cats and the husband 🤣)

Also MIL has twinkly sticks up all year around and she’s definitely (like me) a fairly superstitious type!

I agree, if they’re not specifically Christmas themed leave them up! I have fairy lights all over the house year round, and I’m not afraid of being a bit on the nose either (eg chilli lights in the kitchen). The interiors police haven’t come for me yet.

I have fairy lights up all year too.
My living room is currently lit with fairy lights on twigs in window , a twiggy tree which will be up til February and numerous candles .
All Christmas decs and tree packed up today but house still looking cosy and sparkly .

Fairy lights bring me such joy. We’ve just had an extension built. I’m going to suggest we leave the fairy lights we hung up in it for just a little bit longer (i.e. for ever!). Also, there’s a robin decoration that has been sitting by some house plants for at least two years. I always leave a Christmas card up to take down especially for superstition.
