DD’s birthday in a week and they don’t need or want anything 🤦‍♀️.

Please inspire me with things she might love.

A day out with Nana? Maybe lunch or a little afternoon tea? Cinema trip?

my mature 7 year old loved the karaoke set thing she got from Smyths I did not

An absolutely lovely watercolours set
a huge loom bands kit which a teenage relative showed her how to use
a stuffed capybara with an apple on its head!
she also got a Spirograph which we will look at properly tomorrow (been on the move a lot), she will love it I think.

Nothing really big but smaller things: clothes, bag, yoto story cards (mainly Road Dahl and Beatrix Potter) books (mainly Road Dahl and Dogman), perfume, chocolate.

That is actually quite spooky, my 7 year old also got watercolours, giant loom band set and that very capybara with an apple on its head! (now imaginatively called Cappy 🤣)

Bitzee

SwallowsandAmazonians · 26/12/2025 22:47

FIMO modelling clay, clothes, fancy lip balms, also a spirograph! Already has watercolours and good paintbrushes. Soft toy panda from IKEA. Lego friends.

DD 7 but the hooded owls magic potion kit has gone down a storm.

Suite spaces also played with lots.

Oh also a 3d pen which I have to say is quite amazing.

my nearly 8 year old loved the following: a heatable hedgehog, a giant pug plushie, makeup set and a bucket of slime.

Plinketyplonks · 26/12/2025 23:04

@bumblenbean v funny as we had a long car journey today and discussed what to call the capybara - Cappy came up as an option but we have gone for Caspar!

GreenMarigold · 26/12/2025 23:11

Mine loves her Duolingo plushie, fluffy bedding and fairy lights for her room

Thecaravan · 26/12/2025 23:15

8 year old DD loved Little People, Big Dreams books, Sol de Janeiro body wash stuff and a K Pop hoodie. Dd2 aged 6 got spirograph which they have both enjoyed playing with.
