Stocking filler successes

I always struggle for ideas for stockings now my children are older and preteens so thought it would be helpful if people could share items that were a hit this year.

For my kids:
Eugy models
Touch screen gloves
Duck vending machine

Teen DS loved his Zip string, he had it on the go most of the day!
10 yr old loved his Japanese puzzle box

Both loved fun sweets like Pez dispensers, weird freeze dried sweets etc

Then the big hits for both were

• bouncy balls

• New card games

And they each had a few bits that were different and of those they were particularly pleased with

@Countsounds we gave the jelly bean roulette as a present - the flavours sound completely unappealing but child was equal parts delighted and disgusted so it was a hit!

For adults (young and old), these were a hit:

some cheap little Christmas themed lollies which everyone loved, bizarrely! 🤷🏻‍♀️

DH is mid 30s. Alongside usual sweets- chocolate coins etc- he liked:

• nice shower gel (full size)
• powdered cinnamon drink
• tank theme socks & magnet
• a bottle of fancy, local lemonade

My mum also got mostly sweets but especially loved frys chocolate creams and a small bottle of her favourite rituals body mousse.

Both teens

Both got a personalised marshmallow stick, which was recommended on here! Great stocking filler.

DS asked for a guitar pick maker which I put in his stocking, he loves it! You put any plastic in like an old credit card and it turns it into a guitar pick.

dd14 got plectrums with her favourite band logos on, freeze dried sweets and a dried corn on the cob that you microwave to make popcorn which is cool.

the younger ones (5 and 10) had the usual fidgets, lip balms atm. They get much more interesting when they get older I think!

Adult DS really liked a roasting tin and set of non stick saucepans. ATM he has 2 old saucepans.

I don't really want to log back into Temu they've only just stopped spamming me with emails after the last time lol. But if you Google mini thermal printer you will find the type of thing I mean.

Personalised cushion of our cat stretching out (so the outline of it is wonky and long, with limbs and tail sticking out).
