Teenager was relaxing in his room and was downstairs to open gifts at 10.30 and I opened mine around 2pm..DH still to open his. It's been fab doing what we want when we want regarding gift opening.

Notdanishsusan · 25/12/2025 21:36

9.30, even though DC1 was awake at 6.30. Both kids are so restrained that we had to rush them to finish breakfast and get in the lounge to start opening!

Fontet · 25/12/2025 21:40

None to open

IceIceSlippyIce · 25/12/2025 21:44

Stockings at 7.30 - after the 16 year old woke the 14 yr old and DH.
Presents at 11. Would have been earlier, but people kept calling - and asking what we'd had for Christmas.....

HansHolbein · 25/12/2025 23:32

About an hour ago! Been so busy hosting today. Had a lovely day.

Sighohbarn · 25/12/2025 23:41

Stockings at 8.

Then everyone gets up and showered and dressed. Veg prep done. Table set.

Presents and mimosas at 11.30.

TheFluffiestCat · 25/12/2025 23:43

Stockings about 8.30.
Presents with my parents about 11.30.
DH collected in-laws at 12.30, so didn’t do presents with them until about 3, after lunch. Watched the King on catch-up, took ILs home, had presents to/from each other about 5.30.
Still have friends/extended family presents under the tree for tomorrow.

wendywoopywoo222 · 25/12/2025 23:44

We’re having ours on the 27th when all the kids and grand kids are here.

wordywitch · 25/12/2025 23:45

Stockings at 9.30 but gifts not until 2pm. That’s only because DH was unwell though, normally we open them as soon as we’re up.

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 25/12/2025 23:47

All opened around 10.30 when the kids came down and woke us up

Cornishclio · 25/12/2025 23:49

About 11am. We woke up and went to DD1s house and had brunch then opened presents. We have DD2 and family with grandchildren tomorrow and I expect that will be earlier. Maybe 10am.

ManyPigeons · 25/12/2025 23:50

6.30pm 🙃

professionalhomebody · 25/12/2025 23:51

We opened them about half 12.

Dontgochasingrainbows · 25/12/2025 23:53

8am when teens got up.

4pm at in laws house.

One family member doesn't open hers at all which I find quite odd/rude. She takes them home and opens one a week for a couple of months after Christmas.

tougholdbirdy · 25/12/2025 23:54

After the kings speech.

ilovepixie · 25/12/2025 23:56

We open ours about 3.30. We had lunch about 2.00 and after that was finished and cleared up we watched The Speech then opened presents.

RainBow725 · 25/12/2025 23:57

After dinner at about 4pm! But we are all grown ups now.

IfWhippetsRuledTheWorld · 26/12/2025 00:10

DC opened their stockings around 8am. Presents until the tree around 5pm.

ACynicalDad · 26/12/2025 00:12

Stockings at 7.30, presents after the lunch and the King.

GlomOfNit · 26/12/2025 00:19

Stockings 7.30ish (DS1, DH and me - we let DS2 have as long as lie-in as he needed to - he's autistic and his stocking vanishes in a whirr of ripped paper so it's really nice for us to have some grown-up time first). Tree presents after lunch but we ate unusually early today, so from about 1.45?

Blinky21 · 26/12/2025 00:41

About 11, after breakfast and bucks fizz

BauhausOfEliott · 26/12/2025 00:51

About midday I think - but we’re all adults. We didn’t get up until after 10am and then we had tea/coffee and chat, then we had some pastries and champagne in our pyjamas. Then went and got dressed and ready before we did presents. Then I cracked on with making the dinner.

HaveaVeryMerryBerryChristmas · 26/12/2025 00:53

7am dcs, 8am adults

Marmite27 · 26/12/2025 00:57

Stockings at 6am, we did Parkrun and were home for 10am, probably got stuck in around 11am for the first round after quick showers. Brunch at 11.30am, then second round about noon.

tinyspiny · 26/12/2025 01:50

We did some presents on Christmas Eve and some this afternoon - all adult family and it worked out much better splitting them like this as it was like having 2 Christmas days .
