Annoyed with myself. I’ve misplaced a good few gifts I bought for myself. Will check the loft tomorrow but I’ve no clue where I put them!

I’ve also forgot to put out some of the teenagers gifts. Those I know are in the loft.

any one else done something similar today?

I put one of my DS's presents somewhere but I do not know where and have searched extensively. I have two places only that I stash presents and it's not in either of those.

I expect to come across it in March or something. 'Tis very annoying. It's got a back story which can be summed up as Rubbish Etsy Seller Who Blames The Customer For THEIR OWN Mistake for an extra layer of vexation.

When we'd finished opening our presents I had to ask DH where my shopping list pad was (I was in the shop when I asked him and DD to choose me one). He went out of the room and came back with not only that but also the new phone case I'd requested but hadn't realised I hadn't yet had!

I bought my now 19yo DD a pair of stompeez unicorn slippers back in around 2011. I put them “somewhere safe” because the dog was a puppy at the time and slippers were his fave thing to seek out and tear apart and I didn’t want him to get hold of them before Christmas. I still to this day have never found them. I’ve decided they must have been accidentally thrown out. There is no way they are still in their “safe place” 15 years later and I’ve never come across them. I still think about them every single Christmas 😂

Not this year, but has happened to me before. It was the toy my daughter wanted most too so I ended up buying another. Found the original a couple of years later haha

Where was it hidden?

A few years ago, my Mum bought my niece a Lego set. A few days prior to wrapping said gift, she also did a charity shop drop off. Reader, I think you know where this story is heading! The Lego was never to be found, and it had to be re-ordered. Mum was thankful, however, that the charity shop was able to benefit from her error 😁

Around the turn of the millennium my DM was given a mug containing a Stilton. It vanished and has never been seen again. You'd think at some point the smell would have given it away, but no.
