Should I tip the delivery driver?

My Tesco delivery is coming today and i wonder if i should give them a tip? I have never tipped the drivers before but not sure if i should as it’s Christmas?

I did think about tipping when my shopping was delivered earlier but I just gave them a hug and said Merry Christmas which seems just as good I think.

I gave mine a couple of freshly baked gingerbread men and that seemed to go down well!

My mum did but it was the guy who comes most weeks.

In that situation I would but we get different drivers every week.

We gave ours £5, it was one of the regular ones, he was very grateful.

I gave mine a tenner because we live at the top of a steep slope that is inaccessible by car/van and he lugged 10 crates up it cheery as anything!

Do you do that to restaurant staff too?

It’s fine to not tip of course but it’s definitely not ‘just as good’

I thought about this after the fact. When I was reflecting on how chatty he was at the door. It’s Morrisons and are always a different Delivery person. That said he did look quite familiar this time
Unfortunately, unless someone says please can I have a tip? It will go straight over my head!

I just offer the Amazon drivers a bottle of water and a bag of crisps. They're always happy with that.

I have my shopping delivered every week and never tip.

But I've had a fiver in my purse for months so I tipped the fairly elderly driver who delivered my very big Christmas order the other day.

He was extremely grateful and it made me feel a bit better about how knackered he looked!
