Gift exchange game

For those of you who do this. How do we play it? I’ve bought 10 small presents and I’ve bought the game dice. Does everyone start with a gift or are all the gifts in the middle? Also are gifts unwrapped as soon as you take one or are you swapping without knowing what you’re getting?

Hopefully you know what I’m talking about!

I played a game similar to this. Anything but a cup. We used packs of cards. Will try to think of the rules but I'm holiday drunk st the moment

we play this :-) Gifts wrapped and in the middle of the table. Timer set for a confidential amount of time (about 10 minutes works for us). If you roll a 6 you can take a present (but leave it wrapped). Once all presents are gone from the middle if you roll a 6 you can take a present from another player. When the timer goes off the game ends and everyone opens their presents. Enjoy!

We play differently, no
dice needed. 10 wrapped presents, everyone draws a number, 1 takes first choice of present and unwraps. 2 selects new present to unwrap or steals 1’s present, in which case 1 takes a new present to unwrap. 3 steals from either 1 or 2, or unwraps a new present. Etc etc
So much fun

We pile them in the middle. Throw a 6 you take one. Then it’s something like roll a 1 pass to the left, 2 to the right, 3 swap with someone, 4 steal and 5 unwrap. But we usually have too many presents and it takes too long so we make 2 numbers unwrap.
