Christmas for 2

It will just be me and my 13 year old on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning until 12pm. I’m working until 12pm Christmas Eve and then need to do the food prep as I’m hosting. We are going to the pub for a drink later and then a Christmas movie in new pjs.

Does anyone have any ideas how to make the morning special? She doesn’t want to open any presents until her brothers and sister come home on Christmas Day. I’ll need to start sorting the food but probably not until 11ish.

Does anyone have any nice Christmas morning traditions with a teen? Probably just croissants for breakfast.

I used to involve mine with helping me prep with Xmas music on in the background and arranging a special breakfast - things we would eat were smoked salmon and cream cheese croissant, or croque monsieur. Alcohol free bucks fizz with it so they feel grown up. Just talking and reviewing the year - is there a board game or electronic game you can play together?
