Scooter for 7 year old - Micro Maxi, Cruiser or Sprite

7 year old has asked for a scooter. He hasn't used one before. We are looking at these 3 and are leaning towards the Cruiser as it's supposed to be more stable than the Sprite and we thought that 2 wheels might feel more grown up than 3. But I'm not sure and haven't seen any in person. Any views?

My grandchildren always had the micro maxi. The 8 year old still uses her's. The boys tend to go for the Sprite. You know the school and area best, the cruiser would have the piss taken out of it for a boy, where I am. The children wouldn't make the bike-handle bar connection. The Sprit classic footplate is very thin. The kids do pick scootering up quickly though. The light up wheels on the micro might mean it isn't used as old as they go, but you know your area.

At that age I wouldn’t get anything with three wheels. Once he’s got the hang of it, it will only be five minutes before he’s asking for the more grown up two wheeler.

The cruiser is meant to be better for beginners as it has bigger wheels so feels more stable and rides smoother and takes a bit less effort to cruise along.
if going for two wheels that is, which I think would be better?
