Which salmon?

Tesco side for £11.25 or two half sides from Lidl for £18. Tesco one just about fits on baking tray, and I think guests would prefer the thought of. We regularly eat Lidl salmon which is fine for us.

Both supermarkets are within walking distance, anywhere else will take 30 mins with traffic, so don't want to consider anywhere else.

Surely you wouldn't tell the guests where it was from anyway? So buy the amount you need.

For salmon I’d always choose Lidl over Tesco.

I would approach it purely from cooking/space angle: which would be easier to fit alongside other things and then serve.

From taste point of view both are equally fine.

Thank you. One if guests is close family, so won't miss a thing.

Off to raud Tescos, then Lidl in a bit.

I have a Lidl side for £10.99. Going to attempt an en croute on Christmas Eve!

Didn't Haa choice in the end. Tescos have completely sold out here, taken label off and replaced with something else.

Lidl Deluxe sold our as well, but got their ordinary one, which is we normally eat
