What is it going to be?
Mine would be the phrase "picky bits"
you're not cute, it's shit.

Christmas Eve boxes.

Why? Just why? You just have to wait 12 hours and it's Christmas Day! Makes those with less feel it even more and just adds to the rampant consumerism and debt.

Was your Jewish friend really being sniffy or was she just telling you blue lights are popular in Jewish households this time of year because it's for Hanukkah? Why is this funny? I don't get it.

Um, my humour was directed at myself. Smile I had failed to realise that blue is a colour very connected to Jewish celebrations, particularly in North America, where my friend is from and I am not. She was being a bit 'sniffy' AT me because of my ignorance of this fact and I thought that sniffiness was justified. We are good friends. I was laughing at myself. In order to clarify further, I'd like to point out, just in case you really thought otherwise, I was not 'laughing' (via emoji) at my friend, her Jewishness, or at Jewish celebrations in general.

See, this is why using emojis on social media sucks, as opposed to having a face-to-face conversation.

It could be exciting if you used it as a Deal Or No Deal-themed thing (or possibly Take Your Pick).

You can either risk accepting the Christmas Eve box or otherwise reject it in favour of the rest of your presents the next day - some of which will be wonderful, some of which will be decent enough, and some of which will be downright rubbish.

If you decide to take the Christmas Eve box, all of your other presents get put - still wrapped - in a locked cupboard and taken straight to the charity shop in the new year!

Got it, thank you for explaining and I agree about emojis!
