Lighthearted - Christmas clothes

Just announced I think I'm there with all the gifts needed to give to people we're seeing this side of Christmas 🎄 phew.

But what about something nice to wear on the big day and boxing day as we're seeing DPs family xmas day and my family on boxing day.

I'm thinking Christmas jumpers and socks - even that's an expense I can do without 🤣🫣

Do people generally dress up in their 'tesco finest' over the festive period, or am I over thinking 🤔

NB I'm a hoodie and same jeans all week kinda gal 🤣 dressing up is something I just don't 'do' 🫣

This year is the first year I am dressing up. Dress and heels! I’ve lost 9st so going to enjoy it. Have a lovely time!

Well, my dog has festive pyjamas and some Christmas socks. I'll just be in my usual pyjamas!

I'm a jeans and a jumper gal. So that's what I'll be wearing. I'm hosting. I'm cooking. I'd rather not totter around in heels in my kitchen with a pan full of hot fat for my spuds.

Most sensible 👌 it's honestly a bit of extra expense I can ill afford 😭🙈

Don't do it if you don't want to, it won't make your in-laws or your family feel any differently about you if you do. If you must, you could get a Christmas jumper from a charity shop if you don't have one, they will be really cheap now. Or a red or green jumper and pin on some tinsel? Your nicest jeans or smart trousers and you're good to go.

I do like to wear something festive themed in the days leading up to and including Christmas day, but I've had them for years. I did buy a new top this year but it was from Amazon, so not extravagent. It will last me for a good few years too. But if I couldn't spare the cash, I honestly wouldn't - I don't judge anyone for not wearing new stuff at Christmas.

I go for something Christmassy but fairly casual, so Christmas themed or sparkly sweater dress with thick tights or jeans/leggings and a Christmas or sparkly jumper or sweatshirt.

I don’t wear heels and I don’t buy new each year, or if I do buy something new it joins my other selection to be worn at some point during the festive season another year.

If it was just my family at home and I didn’t have much money, I don’t think I would spend money I didn’t have on something new, but I reckon Christmas themed clothing will be reduced at some point between now and Christmas if you did want something. Asda have some nice stuff.
